Andre Greipel won the fifth stage of the Tour Of Turkey.

On the 182km stage from Marmaris to Bodrum, eight riders in -Juul Jensen (TST), Pagani (BAR), Duret (BSE), Pagani (BAR), Levarlet (COF), Quintero (COL), De Maar (UHC), Bakirci (TRK) got away after stubbing out a three man break and Grechyn had taken the first climb of the day after 36.4kms.

With the peloton split in two and the second some five minutes down, De Maar was caught by the first peloton before Belkov of Katusha went off on his own with 44kms to go.

Belkov, who was 2.41 down on race leader Natnael Berhane at the start of the day, built a lead of 2.15 but was reeled in and was caught with eight kilometres remaining.

With two kilometres to go, Fillipo Pozzato attacked, only to be caught with 150m remaining. This gave Green Jersey wearing Andre Greipel the opportunity he needed and he sped to a victory in a time on 4.42.00 ahead of Matteo Trentin (OPQ) and Nikias Arndt (BLA).

Europcar's Natnael Berhane keeps the race leader's Turquoise jersey.
