Rabbobank's Robert Gesink was the fastest man home in the time trial stage of the Tour Of Oman today.

Gesink whose breakaway victory yesterday put him in the leaders red jersey went last and had to beat the time of 29 mins 36 seconds set by Visconti who was quicker than Marco Pinotti, Alberto Contador, and Team Sky's Edvald Boasson Hagen.

The Dutchman duly completed the 18.5km course with the best time of the day, some sixteen seconds quicker than Visconti and keeps his number one place going into tomorrow's final stage which is from Qurayyat to Mattrah Seafront and is 157km long.

Team Sky's Steve Cummings (pictured below) kept his lead in the Tour Of Algarve despite Andre Greipel winning the fourth stage. The final stage is a 17.2km individual time trial.
