Linus Gerdemann has won stage two of the 75th Tour De Luxembourg and taken over the race leader with an eight second margin.

Lotto Soudal's Andre Greipel was now in lead for a 186.3km stage from Ell to Walferange which featured nine climbs.

Fabio Duarte, Johnny Hoogerland, Loïc Pestiaux and Stijn Steels had broke clear and were three minutes ahead after twenty five kilometres.

Thirty kilometres later and that lead had extended to seven minutes and 8.16 with ninety kilometres completed.

With twenty five kilometres left, only Duarte and Steels were left up front and Demarr and Gerdemann were able to bridge to them.

On the final climb, Gerdemann and Duarte were able to get away, leaving a group of seven rider chasing going into the final five kilometres.

Linus Gerdeman of the Cult Energy team was not to be caught and took the victory ahead of Roompot's Marc Demaar and Topsport's Jelle Wallays.

Irishman Matt Brammeier finished 90th with the only Englishman in the race Russell Downing finishing 91st.
