Sylvain Georges has been sacked by his AG2R team after a positive test for the stimulant heptaminol during last month’s Giro d’Italia.
Georges, tested positive after stage seven and said at the time that it was probably due to him using Ginkor Fort to help improve circulation in his legs and that he had not consulted the team doctor before he took it.
As per Movement for Credible Cycling regulations and as it was their second offence within twleve months. AG2R were forced to withdraw their team from the Criterium Du Dauphine World Tour event but are currently racing in the Tour De Suisse.
