Froome To Ride In Canada

2013 Tour De France winner Chris Froome will ride in Canada next week.

Froome, who races under a British licence, will compete in the UCI GP de Quebec on Friday September 13th and then the GP de Montreal on Sunday September 15th, as part of a strong Team Sky squad.

That squad includes Porte's Lieutenant in Australian Richie Porte as well as faithful domestiques Welshman Geraint Thomas, Danny Pate and Gabriel Rasch.

British rider Jonathan Tiernan-Locke is also included as is Ian Boswell and Joe Dombrowski.

Froome is not the only previous Tour De France winner as BMC's Cadel Evans, Team Saxo Tinkoff's Alberto Contador and Andy Schleck of Radio Shack are all pencilled in for the race which will comprise of 21 teams of eight riders including 19 ProTour teams.
