2013 & 2015 Tour De France winner Chris Froome and former World Champion Mark Cavendish have been named by British Cycling in their Long List for the World Championships in Richmond, USA from September 19th to September 27th.
The duo have been named along with Adam and Simon Yates, Steve Cummings, Adam Blythe, Alex Dowsett, Andy Fenn, Luke Rowe, Geraint Thomas, Scott Thwaites, Ian Stannard and Ben Swift for the Elite Mens Road Race which sees Britain able to enter nine riders.
Two of those named, one presumably being current British Champion Alex Dowsett, will be entered in the Time Trial.
