German rider Patrik Sincklewitz has been suspended for eight years after the Court Of Arbitration upheld its appeal.

The Meridana-Kamen rider, who finished second in the Trofeo Laigueglia.a fortnight ago, has been handed the ban after an appeal by the German national anti doping agency (NADA) following him being cleared of a ban in 2011 where he was found to have taken a growth hormone when he was tested at the Grand Prix Du Lugano in Switzerland.

NADA requested a period of ineligibility to ride of no less than eight years for the German who had disputed the reliability of the test.
