Edmondson Wins Tour Of Azerbaijan Third Stage

British rider Josh Edmondson has won the third stage of the Tour Of Azerbaijan.

Edmondson, a former Team Sky rider, broke clear to take victory on a 177km stage which started and finished in Qabala.

The 22 year old who rides for the An Post Chain Reaction team posted on Twitter about his win: “Wasn’t expecting that to work! Normally my daft attacks don’t work out. Bloody glad it did though!”

Edmondson from Leeds is now up to fith in the General Classification in a race led by Slovenian Primož Ogliè of the Adria Mobil team.

Ogliè took victory on stage two with Marko Kump taking the win on the opening 154km stage from Baku to Samqayit.
