De Gendt Wins Paris-Nice Stage Seven

Thomas De Gendt won the seventh stage of the Paris Nice race this afternoon.

The Vacansoleil rider broke clear early on and stayed away all day on the stage from Sisteron to Nice to win in a time of 5:11:48.

He finished some six minutes and seventeen seconds ahead of second placed Taaramae whom he had ridden most of the day with.

The peloton came in some nine and a half minutes after De Gendt with race leader Bradley Wiggins safely in the pack.
