Danny King New British Champion

Coventry Bees rider Danny King is the new British Speedway Champion.

At the National Speedway Centre in Manchester, King took a second in the opening heat but won his next four heats to book his place in the final with Caig Cook.

They were joined by Robert Lambert and Steve Worrall in the final which saw Danny King get past Cook on the fourth bend on the first lap and then press on to become the new British champion.

King's fellow Bees riders Chris Harris scored five as did Jason Garrity who crashed and had to withdraw with Josh Bates scoring one point.
