Coventry born Cal Crutchlow finished second in the British MotoGP at Silverstone.
Crutchlow, who had won the Czech GP started on pole, but could not catch Maverick Viñales (Team Suzuki Ecstar) who won the race with Crutchlow on a LCR Honda finishing three seconds behind in second place, with Valentino Rossi (Movistar Yamaha MotoGP) in third place.
