Coventry Storm were beaten 47-43 in the final heat by the Isle Of Wight Warriors tonight.

In the first part of this double National League header at Brandon, the Storm had a 3-3 in the opening heat before the visitors took a 4-2.

Liam Carr rode to a 5-1 win for the Storm in heat three which was followed by two 3-3's and a 4-2 win for the Storm with Perry taking the heat victory.

Carr won again in a re-run het seven with a 4-2 win but the visitors came back with a 5-1 win after a 3-3.

After the track was graded both sides took a 4-2 win, which was followed by a 3-3 and Perry winning in a 4-2 which had the Storm four points up with two heats to go.

That led was wiped out by a 5-1 to the Isle Of Wight in heat fourteen, meaning it was all to ride for in the final heat.

However, Carr's bike packed up and the visitors were able to take a 5-1 win and send the Storm to a defeat.
