Coventry Storm Beat Kent

Coventry Storm beat Kent in the first meeting of a double header at Brandon tonight.

The Storm were held to a 3-3 in the opening heat which was re-run three times and again to a 3-3 in the second heat.

Kent took a 5-1 in the third but Martin Knuckey won in a 4-2 as did Darryl Richings to tie the meeting at 15-15.

Rob Shuttleworth and Dan Greenwood then won in a re-run 5-1 and Knuckey and Jamie Halder then rode to a 5-0 after Perks and Ayres fell.

Two 3-3's were followed by a 4-2 to Kent but in heat eleven, Knuckey and Shepherd fell and were excluded and Morley beat Halder in a 3-2 to Kent.

The Storm were six points ahead and it stayed that way with three 3-3's until the final heat when Shanes beat Greenwood in a 4-2 to reduce the Storm's win to 46-42.
