Coventry Cycle Speedway In Home Derby Match

Coventry Cycle Speedway club return to home senior team racing (Sunday 19th July), when they entertain arch rivals Leicester in the Midland League, commencing at 2pm. 

Team manager Lee Marsh has named his strongest available side, with Dave Frith returning for his first home match of the season. Matt Hambidge, after several impressive recent displays, is also called-up for his first senior appearance. 

Coventry team: 1 Mason Phillips 2 Bobby McMillan 3 Myke Grimes 4 Tom Sensicall 5 Dave Frith 6 Dan Drewett 7 Matt Hambidge 8 Joe McLaughlin 

The two teams will also feature in supporting Midland League division 2 and Midland Junior League matches in a full programme of racing. 

Coventry riders were in impressive form for England in the Home Internationals last Saturday at Ipswich. Myke Grimes starred as England won the Home Senior International, whilst dashing 16 year Mason Phillips dropped just a single point as England also won the Home Junior International. 

Brandon Bees are in home action this Tuesday (21st July) evening at Brandon Road Playing Fields when they receive East Park Wolves of Wolverhampton in the Midland League. Tapes up at 7.30pm.
