Coventry Blaze are through to the Elite League Play-Off Final after being Belfast Giants on penalties.

After Sheffield had beaten Hull 3-2 in the first game of the Play-Offs weekend in Nottingham, the Blaze took on Belfast.

They went a goal down on 11.21 to a Jeff Mason goal but were level twenty nine seconds later when Justin DaCosta scored, assisted by Tait and Cowley

On 29.15, Ray Soweda had The Giants back in front but back came the Blaze with a goal from Jereme Tendler on 41.52, assisted by Goertzen and O'Marra and the game went into over-time.

No goals were scored so it went to penalties. Jereme Tendler missed the first penalty shot and Stewart saved Elfring's effort. O'Marra had his shot saved and Kompson missed theirs.

At the third attempt, Ben Arnt scored for the Blaze. Belfast took their third shot but Nathan Robinson failed to score and the Blaze are through to tomorrow's final against the Sheffield Steelers.
