Coventry Blaze Beat Braehead

Coventry Blaze beat Scottish side Braehead Clan at the Sky Dome in Coventry tonight.

After a minute's silence and the English and French national anthems, The Blaze took the lead through Jorgensen on twenty seconds, assisted by Lauzon and Trimm and it was two on 5.58 when Robinson scored a powerplay goal.

Leavitt scored on the powerplay for Braehead on 14.27 and then Nesbitt tied things up on 16.44 again on the power play, following Bobcek getting a game misconduct ban for checking from behind and a fighting-major.

Into the second period and Robinson put Coventry back in front with a third on 24.47, assisted by Trimm and Fisher and on 30.56, Quesnele scored the fourth, assisted by Fisher and Godfrey.

On 50.37, Jordan Pietrus scored goal number five for the Blaze who then conceded a goal scored by Chris Bruton before Jim Jorgensen scored again to give the Blaze a 6-3 win
