Coventry Bears Stung By The Hornets

Coventry Bears Rugby League team were beaten 50-22 at Rochdale Hornets this afternoon.

In a game at Spotland, The Bears took the lead when Dan Parker put Simon Phillips in on the right to score after a repeat set from a penalty.

Rochdale replied with a converted try and then another before Richie Hughes nipped in to go over for a try in the left corner.

Matt Cooper ran in a try which Parker converted to put Cov 14-12 up but the Hornets were in front at half-time by four points with a try.

Dan Parker kicked a penalty but Rochdale ran in five tries before Matt Cooper went over and Parker converted to take the Bears points tally to 22 points.

Rochdale scored a late try and the Bears went down to a 50-22 defeat.
