Coventry Bears Rugby League Team were beaten 24-26 at Newcastle Thunder.
The Bears trailed to an eighth minute try but came back with a Richie Hughes try in the 29th minute which Dan Price converted.
Cov then went in front through Andy Unsworth in the 33rd minute as the Bears led 10-6 at half-time
In the second half, Cameron Boutler ran in a try for Cov which Price converted in the 45th minute.
Newcastle ran in a 53rd minute try and scored another with ten minutes left to go back in front at Kingston Park.
Newcastle added a late try as Coventry went down to a 24-16 defeat.
