Coventry Bears Rugby League team were beaten 16-12 at Hemel Hempstead.
The Bears were 6-6 after 35 minutes but conceded a try to go in 12-6 down at half-time.
Hemel added two points but Dan Parker ran in a try for the Bears to reduce the deficit to two points.
However, in the closing minutes, Cov had a penalty given against them which was converted and a red car and they went to 16-12 defeat.
