Coventry Bears Beaten By The Thunder

Coventry Bears Rugby League team were beaten 14-32 by Newcastle Thunder at the Butts Park Arena this afternoon.

Cov took the lead when Grant Beecham dived over but in the 17th minute, Fox went over to get Newcastle level.

Seven minutes later and Charlie O'Mara went over with James converting. However, Newcastle ran in a 28th minute try to equalise again.

Eddie Medforth dived on a 31st minute kick through with Newcastle also scoring to see Cov down by two points at half-time.

Newcastle added another try in the 43rd minute before the rain came down.

With the Bears down to eleven players after Jay Lobwein was yellow carded with Beddows already off, Newcastle used their numerical advantage to run in another try with thirteen minutes left ran in another try to send The Bears to a 14-32 defeat.
