Cov Rugby Start With A Win

Coventry Rugby Club started their National League 1 with a 41-14 win over Wharfedale at the Butts Park Arena.

Cov were ahead in the fifth minute through a Knox try which was followed by a Jones penalty four minutes later.

In the thirteen minute, Tincknell ran in a try which Jones converted before Knox scored his second try of the game in the 21st minute which was also converted by Jones.

Price went over in the 28th minute with Jones again converting before Wharfedale got on the board with a Morgan try that Guy converted. in the 34th minute.

In first half stoppage time, Tincknell ran in a try which Jones converted to see Cov 36-7 up at half-time.

The crowd of 1,259, saw Labasse scored a try on the hour mark for the visitors which Davies converted and a 67th minute Hope try for a Coventry side which took a 41-14 victory.
