Cov Rugby Club Beat Darlington

Coventry Rugby Club made it seven wins out of seven when they beat Darlington Mowden Park 29-17 this afternoon.

A crowd of 1125 at the Butts Park Arena on a grey day in Coventry, saw Matt Jones run in a fourth minute try which Cliifie Hodgson converted. 

Darlington replied with a Tom Hodgson penalty but Cliifie Hodgson went up the other end and ran in an 18th minute try which he converted.

Hodgson failed to convert a 21st minute Dan Rundle try but kicked the extra points when George Oliver scored a try for Cov five minutes later.

In the 32nd minute, Clifie Hodgson kicked a penalty to see Coventry 29-3 up at the break.

Darlington came back in the second half with tries from Robinson and Appleboy both of which were converted by Tom Hodgson but Cov were too good and won 29-17.
