Cov Rugby Beaten At Fylde

Coventry Rugby Club were beaten 44-28 at Fylde this afternoon.

Cov were 6-0 up thanks to two Jones penalties but Brears scored a try which Johnson converted before a converted Davies try had Cov back in front.

Johnson kicked another penalty for Fylde who had the numerical advantage when Cov had a player sent to the sin bin in the 21st minute. Gore and Rawlings ran in tries one of which was converted.

Sam Pailor ran in a try and Jones kicked a penalty to Cov losing by one point at half-time.

However, in the second half, Brennan ran in three tries for Fylde with Burtonwood also scoring whilst Knox scored in stoppage time for Cov who went down to a defeat.
