Cov Bears Lose To Gloucester

Coventry Bears were beaten 24-48 by Gloucester All Golds at the Butts Park Arena this afternoon.

Brendan Newton ran in the first try of the game for the visitors but a try scored by Jason Bass and converted by Dave Weston got The Bears level.

Eddie Medforth ran in a try in the 11th minute and three minutes later, Aiden Freeman went over to put Cov 14-6 up.

By half-time, the Bears were losing as tries from Harrison Elliot and Phil Cowburn saw Cov go in 14-18 down.

Within a spell of thirteen minutes, Gloucester scored four tries with Morgan Evans, Cowborn, Harry Kidd and Josh Allison all going over to put the visitors 38-14 up.

Cowburn completed his hat-trick with a try in the 62nd minute and Brendon Newton went over in the 70th minute to take Gloucester's points tally to 48.

Hayden Freeman scored for Cov with a 74th minute try and Jamahl Hunte went over with a minute left but Cov were well beaten.
