Corsica For 2013 TDF Start

As expected, the 2013 Tour De France which will be the 100th, will start in Corsica.

The Mediterranean island is the only French department yet to host a stage of the world's greatest cycle race.

Precise details of what will happen in Corsica and when, will be announced on December 6th by race organisers A.S.O.

Catalonian city Barcelona is the favourite for the start of the 2014 race, although Lille, Florence and Qatar are in the running.

For the 2015, the Flemish town of Koksijde in Belgium is favourite to host the start on July 2nd.

Yorkshire, with the stage starting in Leeds and finishing in Sheffield have put in a bid for the 2016 start along with Qatar and Berlin, whilst Scotland have declared an interest for the 2017 grand depart.
