Alberto Contador won the sixth stage of the Tour De San Luis in Argentina.

A 158.6km stage from Quines to Mirador del Sol saw a group led by Michael Albasini get away but after an hours riding, Contador's Saxo- Tinkoff team decided to bring them back at the start of the Category Two climb.

Saxo Tinkoff continued to control things and Contador won the stage beating Daniel Diaz (San Luis Somos Todos) in a time of 3.47.34 with Diniz third.

Daniel Diaz keeps his race leaders jersey ahead of BMC's Tejay van Garderen as the riders go into the final stage.
