Contador Face Losing TDF Title

Last updated : 23 February 2011 By Kev Monks
Alberto Contador faces being stripped of his 2010 Tour De France title.

The rider now with Saxo Bank has been given a one year suspension by the Spanish Cycling Federation for being found to have given a positive test for Clenbuterol and he has ten days in which to appeal.

A final decision will be taken about Contador, who has blamed contaminated meat for him giving a sample of low traces of Clenbuterol on the second rest day in Pau, on February 9th.
