Team Sky's Chris Froome won the Tour Of Romandie in Switzerland on a fourth stage won by Omega Pharma Quick Step's Tony Martin

The final stage was a 18.7km time trial in Geneva and saw favourite and World Time Trial Champion Tony Martin of Omega Pharma Quick Step set the time to beat of 21.07.07.

The German (pictured below) took the lead by finishing sixteen seconds ahead of Malori at 21.23.

At 14.40 local time, race leader Chris Froome in his yellow leaders skinsuit went down the ramp. The Team Sky rider had a 47 second lead over second placed Katusha's Simon Spilak.

Froome was sixteen seconds down on Tony Martin at the first split but three seconds up on Spilak whilst at the finish line, Pinot lost the Young Riders jersey to Wilko Kildermann.

Rui Costa rode himself on to the podium in third place with a good finish as the attention turned to Spilak who finished in a time of 21.48.

Froome came home in 21.41.53 to finish third behind Adriano Malori on the stage but that was enough to give him the race win by 54 seconds from Simon Spilak.

"A really good week for us and I'm in the build up for the Tour De France but I could not have done it without my team who have been excellent this week," said Chris Froome, who will ride the Criterium Du Dauphine before the 100th Tour De France, to RCS after his victory.

"Every race is conditioning for me but it has been a good experience."
