Esteban Chaves of Orica GreenEdge has won the third stage of the Abu Dhabi Tour.
The third stage was a 142km stage from Al Ain (Al Qattara Souq) to Jebel Hafeet.
Alessandro Bazzana UniitedHealthcare Pro Cycling and Rafaâ Chtioui of Skydive Dubai Pro Cycling Team - who have been on the attack in the first two stages started a break of 58 seconds.
Bazzana took the sprint as the duo took their lead to two minutes with fifteen kilometres left.
The break was caught with 8.7kms to go. Esteban Chaves then attacked and had a ten second lead going under the flam rouge.
With seven hundred metres left, Poels attacked and but crashesd in the final corner and Esteban Chaves of Orica GreenEdge took the win ahead of Aru and takes over the lead of the race.
