Chavanel Wins The Three Days Of De Panne

Omega Pharma Quick Step's Slyvain Chavanel won the Three Days Of De Panne.

The final stage 3B was a 14.7km time trial around De Panne and saw Jan Mouris set the early best time so far of 18.37.

That lasted until  U23 Time Trial World Champion Anton Vorobyev came home in a time of 18.21.

Last year's winner Sylvain Chavanal started ten seconds down and was 9.57 seconds quicker than Vorobyev at the first checkpoint. He finished in a time of 18.02, nineteen seconds ahead of Vorobyev.

After Mark Cavendish finished in a time of 19.09, Katusha's Alexander Kristoff was the last man down the ramp but came home in a time of 18.33 to give Chavanal the win and take the Three Days Of De Panne ahead of Kristoff. Mark Cavendish was tenth.
