Mark Cavendish took his third stage win in the 51st Presidential Tour Of Turkey with a win in Izmir.

After the mountains and uphill finishes, this 166km stage from Selçuk to Izmir was one for the sprinters.

Lotto Soudal's Sean De Bie got into a three man break with Valerio Agnoli and Muhammet Atalay and they took a lead of 4.29 after 29 kilometres.

That lead went out to seven minutes with seventy kilometres to go but was down to 2.18 but twenty eight kilometres later.

With thirty kilometres left, there was a split in the peloton and Mark Cavendish ended up in a second group but good work got them back to the main group with twelve kilometres to go.

With everyone together, the sprint was on and Mark Renshaw led out Mark Cavendish who took the win in 3.59.49 ahead of Andrea Piechele, Kristian Sbargil, Manuel Belletti and Magnus Cort Nielsen.

Lampre-Merida's Kristijan Durasek continues to lead the race with a 21 second lead over Davide Rebelin.
