Cavendish Wins Final Tour Of Denmark Stage

Mark Cavendish won the final stage of the Tour Of Denmark as Wilco Kelderman took the overall victory.

The final stage was a 165km stage from Roskilde to Frederiksberg and had Mortensen, Cordeel, Steensen, Anderson and Kilsgaard the early leaders wih a 1.40 lead after 40kms.

That quintet stayed together until the 50kms to go mark when Mortensen and Cordeel broke away, gaining a 46 second lead going into the final twenty kilometres.

Mortensen and Cordeel's day at the front lasted another six kilometres before they were wound in by the peloton. Sander Cordeel tired again but the peloton were all back together for the final four kilometres.

It came down to a bunch sprint and there was Omega Pharma Quick Step's Mark Cavendish to take the win ahead of Bryan Coquard and Tyler Farrar.

Wilco Kelderman finished in the peloton to take the race victory overall ahead of Lars Bak and Matti Breschel.
