Cavendish Wins 6-Tagerennen Zürich

Mark Cavendish and his Omega Pharma Quick Step team mate Iljo Keisse have won the 6-Tagerennen Zürich in Switzerland.

Having finished second in the six days event in Gent, the pair went one better snatching victory in the final few laps of the Madison to take the overall victory.

Cavendish and Keisse were eight points down on Jasper De Buyst and Kenny De Ketele going into the final event but after getting back some of the early laps which had been taken by Silvan Dillier and Leif Lampater, the British rider and Keisse took a lap and then with six laps to go, launched a series of attacks which saw them take the race and the overall victory.
