Mark Cavendish has said that he is aiming for a yellow jersey in this year's Tour De France.

The new British Road Race champion, after his superb win in Glasgow on Sunday, told ITV.com that that the chances of winning the yellow jersey and being only the sixth British rider to do so, were there in the early stages of the race which start in Porto Vecchio in Corsica on Saturday.

The Green points jersey will be his priority and the Omega Pharma Quick Step rider said that it was all about the Green jersey and that he would try to win as many stages as possible to add to his tally of twenty three in the Tour De France already.
