Cavendish Up For BBC Sports Personality Of The Year Again

Top cycling sprinter Mark Cavendish (pictured below) has made it into the nominees yet again for the BBC Sports Personality Of The Year.



The HTC Colombia rider, who again rode well in the Tour De France, was involved in last years award which ended up in a farce when Manchester United's Ryan Giggs won the award.

This year, the BBC have decided not to include any footballers to avoid any repeat of last year and they have announced that after votes were taken in national and local newspapers, a top ten of nominees for the award which will be announced at the LG Arena in Birmingham on Sunday December 19th.

The full list of nominees are Mark Cavendish (Cycling), Tom Daley (Diving) , Jessica Ennis (Athletics), David Haye (Boxing) (Pictured below), AP McCoy (Horse Racing), Graeme McDowell (Golf), Graham Swann (Cricket), Phil 'The Power' Taylor (Darts), Lee Westwood (Golf), Amy Williams (Womens Bob Skeleton).




The winner will be decided by means of a phone poll on the night of December 19th.
