Omega Pharma Quick Step have announced that Mark Cavendish will lead their team at the Tour Of Qatar which starts this Sunday.
Cavendish, has just returned from competing in the Tour De San Luis in Argentina, where he won the opening stage but finished fifty five minutes down on race winner Daniel Diaz and now flies out to Qatar for the opening 145 kilometre stage from Katara Cultural Village to Dukhan Beach.
The former World Champion will be joined in a team which sees Zdenek Stybar replacing the injured Tom Boonen along with Lijo Kleese, Niki Terpstra, Matteo Trentin, Guillaume Van Keirsbulck, Stijn Vandenbergh and Martin Velits.
