Mark Cavendish has been forced to withdraw from the British team for the World Championships.
Cavendish has been forced to pull out of the race in Richmond, Virginia, USA after injuring his shoulder in the Tour Of Britain.
Although nothing was broken in the collision with a car, the former Britsh and World Elite Mens champion is still in pain and discomfort and admitted that he was absolutely devastated not to taking part in the Championships next week.
