Last updated : 13 September 2014 By Cov Cycle Speedway

Bretford Bulldogs Cycle Speedway team return to track action this Sunday (14th September) afternoon with the presentation of a `double header` at their picturesque Brandon Road Playing Fields circuit.

The Bulldogs play host to round 4 of the newly reformed Coventry Junior League (2pm start), sponsored by Cycle Coventry, when they face Earlsdon Hammers, Warwick Royals and Coventry Devlins in the four team competition.

Led by talisman Matt Hambridge, the Bulldogs will be hoping to put a year of struggle behind them. They have been hampered by lack of fixtures, rider retirements and the loss of key management personnel.

Teams: Bretford Bulldogs (Matt Hambridge, Niall Cleaver, Jason Cleaver, Scott Price and Charlie Bracken). Earlsdon Hammers (Dan Drewett, Ollie Morris, Harley Webb and Liam Jones). Warwick Royals (Shaun Reynolds, Jake Slatter, Spencer Sawbridge and Sam Slatter). Coventry Devlins (Mason Phillips, Charlie Barnett, Baillie Phillips and Jack Reynolds).

The Coventry Junior League match is preceded at 1pm by a Midland league Division 3 fixture when Bretford entertain East Park Wolves of Wolverhampton.

Meanwhile, Cycle Speedway is set to receive another promotional boost in the Coventry area. The Coventry club are to be one of the main attractions at the Sky Ride mass participation cycling event in Coventry city centre on Sunday 21st September.

Coventry have also confirmed their outstanding Midlands League division one match against Leicester will go-ahead at Hearsall Common on Sunday 5th October at 2pm.
