FDJ,  AG2R La Mondiale, Europcar, Bretagne-Séché Environnement and British team Raleigh chased them down and the duo were caught with fifty eight kilometres left.

Kevin Reza (Team Europcar) and Sébastien Reichenbach (Iam Cycling) were the next to try their luck and only succeeded in being joined by six others before they became part of a group of 29 riders which had a 35 second lead with 35kms to go.

This group of Geslin, Mourey, Belletti, Bérard, Bonnafond, Dumoulin, Gougeard, Fumeaux, Reichenbach, Arashiro, Coquard, Reza, Tulik, Quemeneur, Koretzky, Perichon, Bagot, Mate, Baldo, Rossetto, Tronet, Wisniowski, Duval, Turgis, Boulo, Antomarchi and Delfosse, stayed away until the end and the inevitable sprint on the Rue de Brest

Bryan Coquard of Europcar went and took the victory by a bike length and said: "AG2R and FDJ facilitated us with a chance to get something in a finish we like and I tried to accompany the shots. "The guys did a great job after we decided that we did not want to padlock the race from the start.
