Thomas Boudat (Europcar) has won the Classica Corsica.

The pre race to the Criterium International saw a 203km race from Ajaccio to Bastia on the French island of Corsica.

On roads which hosted stages of the Tour De France in 2013, a group of thirty riders were clear after 72kms.

This front group had grown to thirty nine riders who had a lead of 1.10 with 110kms remaining.

Perichon, Tronet and Paillot, decided that was too many and they set off, amassing a lead of 1.15 over the other thirty six riders and four minutes of the peloton.

The peloton slowly started working together and Perichon, Tronet and Paillot, plus the other thirty six were brought back with forty kilometres to go.

Honig, Dassonville and Reijnen were next to launch a raid but it was brought back and Thomas Boudat (Europcar) was able to take the win ahead of Archbold, Ratto, Giraud, Guldhammer, Van Staeyen, Felline, Gerdemann, Hutarovich and Duval.
