Edvald Boasson Hagen won the Eneco Tour Of The Benelux Countries this afternoon.

The final stage was 201kms long and from Sittard to Geleen on a rainy day.

Five men broke away and were still two minutes clear with forty kms to go. Team Sky who had Edvald Boasson Hagen in the leaders jersey, were doing plenty of work at the front of the chasing peleton to ensure that their man would win the race.

HTC's Bernard Eisel went off and was able to bridge the gap. With ten kilometres to go, Taylor Phinney who won the opening stage attacked forcing the Sky led peleton and David Millar to try and keep him in check.

Lars Back attacked with 3kms to go but Philippe Gilbert attacked out of a peleton. However, Geraint Thomas was bringing up Edvald Boasson Hagen.

Taylor Phinney crashed on the final bend and Boasson Hagen was left to sprint to the stage victory and the Eneco Tour.

David Millar finished third in the General Classification behind Gilbert
