Coventry Blaze's Ryan O'Marra has been banned for four games following an incident at Nottinham Panthers on Friday night.

The The Department of Player Safety reviewed the incident in the third period and has come to the following conclusions:

* O'Marra skates directly at the puck carrier and leads into the check with his left knee, driving forwards through the player.

* In the process of making the hit, instead of staying tucked and making a legal body check, he recklessly extends his left elbow.

* O'Marra's left elbow makes principal point of contact with the head and neck area of the opposition player.

* The opponent did not make any sudden movements just prior to contact.

* There is an injury to the opposition player.

O'Marra is now banned for the next four games.
