Coventry Blaze were beaten 3-1 at home by Nottingham Panthers tonight.
With Steve Goertzen taking the team and Chuck Weber having a watching brief, the Blaze went a goal down after 42 seconds through Benedict.
Higgins added a second for the Panthers 1.17 into the second period and although Russ Cowley scored a short handed goal on 26.15, assisted by Bochek and Cescon, Nottingham scored a third on the powerplay twenty four seconds later through Graham.
