Blaze Lose To Cardiff In Over-Time

Coventry Blaze were beaten 4-3 in over-time in an Elite League fixture.

After last night's 7-2 defeat in Cardiff, it was all back to the Sky Dome and after a goal-less first period, it was Cardiff Coach Andy Lord who put his side ahead on 23.34.

On 24.54, Russ Cowley set up Ashley Tait for the equaliser but Cardiff came back to take the lead through Haddad on 31.04 and Jordan ietrus then had the Blaze level for a second time when he scored on 32.20.

The Blaze had a goal not given, but in the final period, Cardiff were caught with a slow line change and Jordan Pietrus scored to put Coventry 3-2 ahead on 42.15

With just over eight minutes to go, Cardiff drew level through Mark Richardson to send the game into over-time.

However, the Blaze lost Ashley Tait for two minutes for hooking and Cardiff took advantage and scored to inflict another defeat.
