Blaze Lose In Shoot Out At Hull

Coventry Blaze were beaten in a penalties shoot out at Hull after the game at Hull Stingrays had finished 3-3.

The Blaze took the lead through Russ Cowley on 19.56, assisted by Ryan O'Marra but Hull levelled through Carl Lauzon with a powerplay goal 1,57 into the second period.

Rory Rawlyk had the Blaze back in front on 25.42 and they led until Hull levelled through Zach Hervato on 47.39 and then took the lead on 48.59 through Matt Davies,

On 58.16, the Blaze snatched a point when Jerome Tendler, netted, assisted by Cowley and O'Marra to send the game into over-time.

With no more goals, the game went to a penalty shoot out. Tendler and Lauzon both missed. O'Marra also missed but Hervato scored and with Jakub Sindel missing a third for the Blaze, Coventry returned home with only a point.
