Coventry Blaze Ice Hockey team were beaten 6-4 at Manchester Phoenix tonight.
The Blaze took the lead on 13.36 when Russ Cowley scored on the powerplay, assisted by Robinson and Tanaka.
Manchester levelled on 21.29 through Phillips but the Blaze were back in front through Venus twenty seconds later, assisted by Lauzon and Noble before Manchester levelled for a second time on 27.59 through Davies.
However, by the end of the second period, the Blaze were 3-2 up when Venus netted, assisted by Noble on 35.07.
Fifty six seconds into the third period and on the powerplay, Valcak levelled with a goal that was followed by one for Toulmin on the powerplay on 49/09.
Scarsella scored a fifth for Manchester on 50.05 but the Blaze pulled a fourth goal back through Ashley Tait on 55.52, assisted by Cowley and Lauzon and with thirty five seconds left,Toulmin scored to send the Blaze to a 6-4 defeat.
