Ashley Tait scored a fourth for the Blaze on 59.09 but it was to no avail.

Coach Chuck Weber said to the Blaze website: "It was a really gutsy effort by the boys, everybody worked their tails off.

"We set ourselves up to be tied going into the third period and unfortunately a couple of mistakes cost us but we battled to the end.

"We started the game with eight forwards and six defencemen and finished with eight forwards and four defencemen. Injuries are hitting us at the moment.

"Russell Cowley did not play at all and we lost Boris [Valabik] during the game too. It is what it is."
