Big Win For Cov Rugby

Coventry Rugby Club had a big win at the Butt's Park Arena.

Cov beat Tynedale 64-12 in front of a crowd of 1331 and the scoring got underway with a third minute Cliff Hodgson try, followed seven minutes later by a second from Scott Morgan, which Hodgson converted.

Knox ran in a try in the 13th minute which again Hodgson, who scored his second try of the game in the 31st minute converted and in first half stoppage time, Woodburn scored with a try

That saw Coventry 29-0 up at half-time and a minute into the second half and Jones increased that score with a try which he converted.

Poole added a 45th minute try that was converted by Jones who converted again in the 64th minute when Pailor went over.

Evans scored with a 69th minute try that Jones converted but in the 75th minute, Tynedale who are bottom of the table, finally got on the scoreboard when Weightman scored a try.

Hamilton ran in a try in the 80th minute which Jones converted to send Cov over the sixty point mark but in stoppage time, Cairns scored a second try for Tynedale and although Outson converted, Cov had a big win.
