Coventry Bees Speedway Team hammered Lakeside Hammers tonight.

After easily beating Lakeside last night, the Bees had Kyle Howarth and Hans Andersen ride to a 5-1 in the opening heat at the Arena Essex Raceway.

Heat two was initially stopped after Garrity jumped but when it was re-run, the Bees took another 5-1 when Garrity and Sarjeant took an awarded win whilst Morley fell off his bike.

The track was graded but it was to the Bees liking as Chris Harris and Michael Jepsen Jensen rode to a third consecutive 5-1.

After a 3-3, former Bees rider Rory Schlein took a tactical ride and won for an 8-1 to Lakeside but in heat six, the Bees were nine points ahead when Harris and Andersen took a 5-1.

Heat seven saw another 5-1 for the Bees with Garrity and Hansen taking the win.

Kim Nilsson took a tactical in heat eight for Lakeside but could only finish third and the Hammers could only take a 4-4 from the heat.

Garrity won the heat for a 5-1 in the next heat and after Jepsen Jensen and Harris had taken a 5-1 which had put the Bees 43-22 ahead. Hammers Promoter Joe Cook was on the microphone giving credit to the Bees but failing to offer an explanation for the Hammers performance which many of the crowd were demanding.

There was an improvement as the next four heats all finished in a 3-3 and in the final heat, the Hammers took a 5-1 win but the Bees had run out easy 56-39 winners.
