Coventry Bees Speedway Team finished their Elite League campaign with a 52-38 win against Lakeside Hammers.

The Bees had Jacob Thorssell guesting and rider replacement for Joonas Kylmakorpi and were beaten 4-2 in the opening heat.

In heat two, Bates touched the tapes and went off fifteen metres and this allowed James Sarjeant and Jason Garrity to ride to a 5-1 win that was followed by Danny King and Chris Harris also taking a 5-1.

Lakeside took heat four 4-2 and had Ed Kennett get past Garrity and Howarth in a 3-3 before levelling the scores with a 5-1.

Danny King and Thorssell both won in 4-2's before Howarth fell and Lakeside cancelled out one of those 4-2's.

Danny King won in a 4-2 in heat ten and Kyle Howarth and Chris Harris won in a 5-1 in heat eleven to put the Bees eight points ahead.

That increased to twelve points with Garrity and Sarjeant winning in a 5-1.

A 3-3 was followed by a 4-2 to Lakeside who could not deal with King and Harris in the final heat and the Bees won 52-38.
